Corrections

What is paint correction?

Paint correction is the process of safely removing imperfections from your vehicle’s paintwork to restore clarity, gloss, and overall finish. This is achieved through professional machine polishing techniques designed to improve the appearance of the paint.

Coatings

What is a ceramic coating?

A ceramic coating is a protective layer applied to your vehicle’s paintwork to provide long-term protection against dirt, water, and environmental contamination. It enhances gloss, makes cleaning easier, and helps preserve your vehicle’s appearance.

How long does a ceramic coating last?

Most ceramic coatings provide protection for approximately 3–5 years, depending on vehicle usage and maintenance. Regular maintenance helps maximise performance and longevity.

Is ceramic coating scratch-proof?

No. Ceramic coating is not scratch-proof and will not prevent stone chips or physical damage. It does provide improved resistance to minor marks and helps protect the paint from environmental damage.

How long does the process take?

Most ceramic coating services take 1–2 days, depending on vehicle condition, size, and preparation required. We will confirm the timeframe during inspection.

Do I need paint correction before applying a coating?

Yes. Proper preparation is essential. A ceramic coating locks in the condition of the paint, so paint correction ensures the best possible finish before the coating is applied.

How should I maintain my vehicle after coating?

We recommend regular washing using safe methods, avoiding automatic brush car washes, and scheduling professional maintenance every 6–12 months.

How much does a ceramic coating cost?

Pricing varies depending on vehicle size, paint condition, and level of preparation required. For this reason, all coating services are priced from a starting point, with final pricing confirmed after inspection.

Do you provide a warranty?

Yes. Warranty coverage depends on the coating system used and proper maintenance of the vehicle. Full warranty and aftercare instructions are provided at the time of service.

What is the difference between ceramic coating and graphene coating?

Both ceramic and graphene coatings provide long-term protection for your vehicle’s paintwork, improving gloss, making cleaning easier, and helping protect against environmental contamination.

Ceramic coating is the most widely used and proven technology, typically based on silica (SiO₂) protection systems that bond to the paint surface. Graphene coatings are a newer variation that combine ceramic technology with graphene additives designed to enhance certain properties like heat resistance and water-spot resistance.

Ceramic Coating

Best known for reliability and proven performance

Benefits:

  • Strong long-term protection

  • Excellent gloss and finish

  • Proven durability

  • Easier maintenance

  • Widely trusted technology

Ceramic coatings are the industry standard and have a long track record of consistent results across different environments and vehicle types.

Graphene Coating

A newer variation of ceramic technology

Potential benefits:

  • Slightly improved resistance to water spotting

  • Better heat dissipation in hot conditions

  • Very slick surface finish

Graphene can help reduce heat buildup on the paint surface because it conducts heat more efficiently, which may help protect the coating in high-temperature environments.

Which is better?

Both coatings provide excellent protection.

The most important factors are:

  • Proper preparation

  • Professional application

  • Ongoing maintenance

These have a much greater impact on performance than the coating type itself.

Which coating do you recommend?

We recommend ceramic coating for most vehicles because it offers:

  • Proven durability

  • Consistent performance

  • Reliable long-term protection

Graphene coatings may be recommended in specific situations, such as:

  • Vehicles exposed to harsh conditions

  • Customers seeking an upgraded protection option
